영어의 일반원리에 입각하여 영문법 구조에 대한 Why?의 설명을 통하여 영어의 문법과 구조에 대한 포괄적인 이해뿐만 아니라 직접 활용을 할 수 있게 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히, 부록에서는 다양한 영어구조가 사용된 표현들을 체계적으로 분류해 두었으며 또한 이미 숙지한 영문법 규칙들의 반복적인 연습활동을 통해서 그 적용 능력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 하였다.
