  • To uphold these commitments, we have established specific Customer Service Standards to guide our daily interactions and service delivery.

Customer Service Standards

  • User-Oriented Library Service
    • All staff members wear official identification cards and name badges, reinforcing accountability in our service delivery.
    • Our staff respond to your requests with helpfulness, friendliness, and courtesy.
    • We keep our library spaces well-organized to ensure you can navigate and use our facilities without inconvenience.
    • Our website will be regularly updated, providing easy access to online catalog services, event schedules, public notices, and other valuable information.
    • We offer a checkout reservation system that allows you to borrow materials as soon as they are returned.
    • For those unable to visit in person due to physical disabilities, we provide a checkout & delivery service to ensure equal access to our resources.
    • We accommodate patrons with time or distance constraints through our reservation and pick-up point service at both Michuhol Library and its branches.
  • Timely and Accurate Information Service
    • Our Library Collection Committee carefully selects and acquires a wide range of materials, including Korean and foreign language books, braille books, and non-book materials.
    • We welcome your purchase requests through our website or suggestion boxes in our libraries to ensure our collection reflects the books and resources you want to read.
  • Diversified Cultural Experiences and Lifelong Learning Opportunities
    • We provide a wide range of lifelong learning programs to foster self-motivated learning in our patrons.
    • We develop inclusive programs designed to engage and support disadvantaged members of our community.
    • As a multi-purpose cultural hub, we organize vibrant cultural events that bring citizens together and foster community engagement.

Corrective and Remedial Actions

  • We take all service-related concerns seriously and promptly address any complaints about unsatisfactory experiences.
  • For issues requiring extended resolution time, we will keep you informed of our progress through regular updates and provide a final report upon completion.

What We Ask of Our Patrons

  • Creating a Positive Environment for Reading and Learning
    • We kindly ask that you observe basic library regulations and help maintain a pleasant atmosphere for everyone.
    • You may turn off or set your mobile devices to silent mode before entering resource rooms or reading rooms.
    • As seating is limited in the resource and reading rooms, we ask that you occupy only one seat and avoid reserving additional seats for others.
  • Timely Return
    • You may return borrowed materials by their due date for fair access for all patrons.
  • Respecting Library Resources
    • Our library is a shared community asset, so you may use resources carefully to prevent damage or loss.
    • Eating and drinking are permitted only in designated areas, such as the cafeteria or lounge, and smoking is restricted to designated smoking areas.
